What data this website collects

This website does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics. We do not collect personal data through the website. Server logs may contain IP addresses and request information as part of standard web infrastructure - these are automatically deleted after 30 days. No advertising networks, no Facebook Pixel, no Google Analytics.

What data the Skales app collects

Skales stores all data locally on your device at ~/.skales-data. The application does not transmit data to any server operated by us. When you use cloud AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.), your prompts are sent directly to those providers - not through us. With Ollama, no data ever leaves your machine at all.

Anonymous telemetry is strictly opt-in only. When enabled, it collects only: app version, OS type, and start or crash events. No conversations, no API keys, no personal data are ever collected.

Third-party services

This website is hosted on Vercel. Vercel's own privacy policy applies to the hosting infrastructure. No other third-party services are used on this website. Vercel's privacy policy can be found at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Your rights (DSGVO / GDPR)

Under DSGVO and GDPR, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability regarding any personal data we hold. Since this website does not collect personal data, there is typically nothing to request. For any data-related requests regarding the Skales application, contact request@skales.app.

Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be updated to reflect changes in infrastructure or legal requirements. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We will not retroactively reduce privacy protections for data already collected.
