Most of what makes a desktop agent feel good is invisible. It opens fast. It does not crash. It remembers what you told it. It hands off cleanly between sessions. v10.0.3 is a release dedicated to that invisible work.
Faster cold starts
The first launch after a system restart is now meaningfully faster on both Windows and macOS. We deferred a few startup tasks that did not need to block the UI, and the splash window now hands off to the main window earlier. On a fresh boot you should be in a usable state in under three seconds on most hardware.
Fewer crashes during long sessions
A handful of edge cases that could crash a long-running session have been fixed. The biggest one was a memory leak in the browser automation pipeline that built up over multi-hour Codework runs. We also tightened how the agent handles partial responses from rate-limited providers, which used to cause the UI to lock up briefly.
Smoother session handoffs
Switching between sessions, or resuming a session after closing the app, is faster and more reliable. Conversation context loads in chunks now, so a session with thousands of messages no longer hangs the window while it warms up. Spotlight also opens with the most recent session pre-loaded.
Smaller, sharper fixes
The Discover Feed pagination no longer double-loads the first page on slow networks. The Token Compressor handles long code blocks without truncation. Calendar sync no longer drops events when the timezone changes mid-week. The Buddy gecko respects reduced-motion settings on macOS. Telegram approval prompts are clearer about which tool is asking for permission. Studio asset thumbnails load lazily instead of all at once.
What is next
v10.0.3 closes out the v10.0.x stability cycle. The next minor will focus on a quieter, more deliberate Discover Feed and on improving how Skales schedules background tasks. As always, your data stays at ~/.skales-data and nothing about that has changed.
